At least one was killed and seven others got injured when a suicide bomber attacked the car of a member of a major political party on his way to mosque for Eid morning prayers in Pakistan's northwest district of Swabi on Monday morning, reported local Urdu TV channel Geo. Hanif Jadoon who was a member of Awami National Party, one of the major political parties in the country, was killed, said the report, adding that Hanif's son was also injured in the attack. According to the report, the attack took place at about 9:30 a. m. when an unidentified suicide bomber attacked Hanif's car in the Malikabad area of Swabi, a district located some 80 kilometers northwest of Pakistan's capital Islamabad. Details of the suicide bomber are not available at the moment. Conditions of the injured people are also not known. Police have cordoned off the attack site and a search opertion is under way. No group has claimed the responsibility for the attack yet. Monday's attack in Swabi came at a time when all the Muslims across the country are celebrating a three-day Eid holiday with their family members, relatives and friends.
