Member of the National Assembly Obeid Al-Mutairi declared on Wednesday he was withdrawing his interpellation motion against the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Mustafa Al-Shimali. Al-Mutairi's declaration came shortly after Al-Shimali affirmed his readiness to ascend the podium at Abdullah Al-Salem Hall to face two interpellations by MPs separately -- one presented by this MP and the other by three other members of the parliament. "Yesterday, I expressed readiness to debate the two grilling motions, without consideration to any other terms," he said in a statement to journalists. Earlier today, the parliament session was adjourned to Thursday due to absence of members of the government. The government representatives withdrew from the parliament session, on Tuesday, after MPs insisted on merging the two motions. The government insisted that the minister would debate the two motions separately.
