Hundreds of pro-government Islamists on Tuesday clashed with police outside the headquarters of Tunisia 's main labor union, UGTT, leaving at least 10 people injured, according to Xinhua reporters on scene. The Islamists, blaming the UGTT for organizing large-scale protests against the Tunisian government last week, attacked the UGTT headquarters in the capital of Tunis with stones and sticks and clashed with the police. On Friday, thousands of people marched on Friday in Tunis to protest against poverty, unemployment and marginalizaion in their region, blaming the government for the lack of commitment. The protests which lasted for days, had left more than 250 people injured, Shems FM reported.
