10 Turkish police officers released after probe into relation with Gülen

Ten of eleven Turkish police officers were released Friday after they faced charges linking them to a banned Islamic leader in Turkey.
The police officers were referred Thursday to the public prosecution over links with Islamic leader Fethullah Gülen in the case known as the "Parallel State".
Eight of the released officers were out on parole.
The prosecution had issued an arrest warrant against 12 police officers over suspicions that they had links with Gülen's "Parallel State", as security forces managed to arrest ten of them, one surrendered himself to police, while searching was ongoing on for the twelfth officer.
Erdogan and his ruling AK Party accuse Gulen and his supporters of seeking to establish a "parallel state" in Turkey and of orchestrating a corruption investigation in 2013 which briefly threatened to engulf the government.
