13.7% of Israelis cast ballots within 3 hours

Some 13.7 percent of Israeli voters have cast their ballots in the general elections as of 10:00 AM, which is over 20 percent higher than the voter turnout at that hour than in the previous two elections, Haaretz reported on Tuesday.
Israelis are voting on Tuesday in an election called last December by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Ballots are being cast at 10,372 polling stations throughout Israel, and will remain open until 10:00 PM.
There are 5,881,696 Israeli citizens over the age of 18 who are eligible to vote today for the 20th Knesset.
Habayit Hayehudi chairman Naftali Bennett, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Zionist Union co-chairman Isaac Herzog, Kulanu chairman Moshe Kahlon, Yesh Atid chairman Yair Lapid, Zionist Union co-chairman Tzipi Livni, Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Lieberman and Joint Arab List chairman Ayman Oudeh have cast their ballots in the 2015 elections.
