Britain's Ministry of Defense said two servicemen have died during a training exercise in a national park in Wales, AP reported. The ministry said in a statement it is working with local police to investigate the deaths on the Brecon Beacons mountain range in South Wales on Saturday. A third serviceman was taken to the hospital and remains in serious condition. The ministry said Sunday the family of those who died have been informed. It declined to provide details about what happened during the training. The Brecon Beacons is one of several locations the British military uses for training. The army's website says the area's rugged landscape is demanding and can prepare soldiers for circumstances in the field.
