Two suspected militants were shot dead Wednesday during border clashes with Tunisian and Algerian security forces, dpa quoted a Tunisian radio report as saying. Tunisian security forces shot dead one man in a firefight in the village of Dernaya, about 280 kilometres southwest of the capital Tunis, Radio Mosaique reported. Another fighter was killed by Algerian security forces on the other side of the border, the report, citing unnamed security sources, said. The militants are believed to be of the same group that shot dead member of Tunisia's national guard and seriously injured another during clashes in Dernaya on Monday. Tunisian forces are hunting the rest of the group in the region’s mountains and forests. Algeria has closed a 220-kilometre section of the nearly 1,000-kilometre border with Tunisia
