Two men have been arrested in Walsall on suspicion of Syria-related terrorism offences, ABC news reported.
The suspects, both aged 26, were arrested as part of an investigation which saw two other males, aged 25 and 32, arrested on suspicion of the same offences on January 12.
Police said the offences under investigation were all related to terrorism activity connected to Syria and there was no immediate risk to public safety, The International Business Times reported on Thursday.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "The arrests are part of an on-going operation and are connected to the two arrests made by counter terrorism officers in Walsall on Tuesday 12 January where two men, aged 25 and 32, were detained on Syria-related terrorism offences. Both remain in police custody.
"Officers are this morning carrying out searches at a number of addresses in the Walsall area associated with the suspects".
