An improvised explosive device exploded in a mosque in Russia's North Caucasus republic of Kabardino-Balkaria early Friday, reportedly killed two men, local authorities said. "Two dead bodies torn apart presumably by the explosion were discovered at the scene. A Kalashnikov assault rifle was found nearby," the Interfax news agency quoted a local law enforcement spokesman as saying. Preliminary investigations showed the unidentified men were transporting the explosive device. The Russian Investigative Committee said in a press release "the device contained the equivalent explosive of more than one kilogram of TNT." Local police have cordoned off the scene.
