At least 20 people were injured in two separate road accidents in a tourist attraction zone in the western Indian state of Rajasthan on Monday, police said.
Both incidents took place on a national highway from Kota to Jaipur, two tourist cities of India, in which a passenger sleeper coach bus was hit from behind by a truck while another passenger bus was hit by a parallel running bus.
Cases of negligent driving have been lodged against the drivers of the truck and bus which caused the incidents.
Road accidents are common in India. According to official estimates, at least 120,000 people are killed each year on the road in India due to reckless driving, bad road conditions and lack of enough security surveillance.
