Egypt's 2030 development vision aims at placing the country among the top 30 economies in the world, Planning Minister Ashraf el Araby said on Tuesday.
Addressing a meeting organized by the Egyptian Businessmen's Association, Araby said the 2030 vision is a sustainable development strategy that focuses on economic, social and environmental dimensions.
The government seeks to improve Egypt's ranking in the Global Competitiveness Report from the current 115 to 30 by 2030, he said.
Among the goals of the sustainable development is to place Egypt among the top 30 countries in the field of corruption prevention and human resource development, he added.
Araby called for handling the issues of the budget deficit and public debts, and reducing the gap between imports and exports to achieve Egypt's development goals.
