
Twenty-eight people aboard a passenger motor boat that capsized off sea waters in central Philippines were rescued Saturday morning, said local media.
The boat sank after its outrigger broke at around 11 p.m. Friday, in the sea between Liloan and Camotes Isalnds in Cebu, according to Sun Star.
The 28 people rescued by passing vessels at 6 a.m. on Saturday arrived in Cebu city at 11 a.m. and were sent to nearby hospital for checkup and treatment, the Sun Star said.
Investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
