Three soldiers were wounded in a US Navy helicopter emergency landing during military exercises in the region of Phitsanulok in northern Thailand. Spokesman of the U.S. Embassy in Thailand said the emergency landing of the military helicopter which was carrying U.S. soldiers involved in the joint military exercises ‘Cobra Gold’ did not result in casualties. Another source familiar with the maneuvers said in a statement to reporters that two of the passengers on board the helicopter were wounded, another slightly wounded while three others escaped unscathed. The maneuvers Cobra Gold is largest exercises conducted by the United States with multiple parties in the Asia and Pacific region in which thousands of American, Thai and other soldiers from other countries take part.
