Four Turkish soldiers have been injured after militants of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers'' Party (PKK) attacked their military vehicle in the southeastern province of Diyarbakir. The incident took place late on Monday when PKK militants opened fire on a Turkish military vehicle near Gomec village in Hani district of the province, the Turkish (Anatolia) news agency reported. Diyarbakir Governor Mustafa Toprak said that PKK members attacked Turkish soldiers as they were on their way following the destruction of a cannabis plantation in the area. Three civilians were also wounded in the attack. However, no casualty figures have been reported on the PKK terrorists. Turkish security forces have launched an operation after the attack in the region.
