As many as 48 trucks carrying construction materials were allowed into Gaza Strip via Rafah border terminal for the underway reconstruction projects, a terminal official said on Thursday. About 9 trucks carrying 420 tons of cements and 39 trucks loaded with 1070 cubic meters of pebbles, the official added. Around 118 trucks laden with 4846 tons of cement, and 4883 trucks loaded with 114,008 cubic meters of pebbles were allowed into the coastal enclave in accordance with an agreement reached with Qatar. Earlier this year, the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza and Egypt's Arab Contractors signed a cooperation protocol on Gaza reconstruction whereby Egypt will supply the blockaded coastal enclave with necessary building materials for the projects to be carried out by Qatar.
