5m pilgrims at holy sites for Umra

Number of pilgrims who flocked to the Kingdom to perform Ramadan Umra has reached some five million, the Ministry of Hajj said in a statement on Sunday. The number of pilgrims who have come from outside the country and are present in Holy Makkah and Holy Medina has reached 400,000. These figures were presented at a meeting of the Central Hajj Committee. A plan was also examined regarding transport of the faithful from and to the Holy Mosque during the fasting month. It aimed at transporting 15 million people aboard big buses.
