
At least six armed activists of a banned outfit were killed in an encounter with police in Pakistan's in Karachi late Wednesday, (Geo) News reported. Personnel of Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Karachi police cornered a bunch of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi outlaws near Lakki Pahari area of Mauripur in Karachi and challenged them to surrender only to draw fire from them. The Police Chief Chaudhry Aslam said that six terrorists including two would-be suicide bombers were killed by the time it was all over. The police also suffered some minor non-fatal casualties, he added. Chaudhry also revealed that the mastermind of Justice Maqbool Baqar attack was also among the terrorists killed in the shootout.
