Nearly 60,000 foreign nationals have been brought to justice in Moscow for migration legislation abuse this year, the Moscow police press-service told Itar-Tass on Friday. Over three thousand of the abusers were deported. The police spokesman said migrants were present in all segments of crime statistics - from crimes against property (pickpocketing, house burglaries, thefts of motor vehicles) to economic crimes (white collar crimes). “Moscow police in January-July exposed over 17,000 crimes committed by city guests, including 6,720 crimes by visitors from other CIS countries. Also, in the same period foreign nationals committed 274,000 administrative offenses,” the police said. In the reviewed period the police solved 805 crimes committed by organized ethnic groups.
