Seven militants were killed in clashes with security forces this morning in southwest Baluchistan province of Pakistan. The spokesman for the Pakistani paramilitary troops in Balochistan said that a group of unidentified gunmen launched a surprise attack on a military post in the province of Deira Bugti, but the security men were in a state of readiness and responded to the strikers with full force, killing seven insurgents and wounding nine of them. "There has been no occurrence of any losses on the side of the security forces," the spokesman added. "The security forces have arrested the injured insurgents and seized from them a large quantity of weapons and explosives," the spokesman said. Additional security reinforcements have been dispatched to the region to quell prospect of another attack, he added.
