At least eight people have been killed, including an Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer, during the past 24 hours in Karachi the capital of the province of Sindh southern Pakistan. According to Pakistani police, the officer was identified as Deputy Director IB, Qamar Raza. Unidentified armed men opened fire on Raza late Saturday in the Liaquatabad area. He was immediately ambulanced to the hospital where doctors declared him dead. Additionally, seven people have been killed including a woman in separate incidents spanning a number of areas in Karachi. Karachi, the largest commercial center of the country, is home to the largest sea port in Pakistan. It has been witnessing a variety of attacks within the past years, which claimed the lives of thousands of citizens.
