8 policemen wounded in clashes after African Super Cup

Three police officers and five soldiers from the central security forces were injured during clashes that erupted between el-Alhy fans and security forces after a game between the Egyptian team and Sfaxien of Tunisia, a security source has said.The source has told MENA that the injured were transferred to hospital for necessary treatment.The clashes erupted when Ultras Ahlawy fans hurled empty water bottles at the troops and damaged the terraces of the third class at Cairo Stadium and threw them at the forces.In return, the forces fired tear gas at the fans to disperse them.The confrontations renewed again on Salah Salem road outside the stadium when the fans fired Molotov cocktail at the troops who responded by firing tear gas.El Ahly have won the African Super Cup in Cairo after beating Sfaxien of Tunisia 3-2.
