At least nine people were killed in clashes between Libya’s revolutionary forces and supporters of the fugitive former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi in the Libyan city of Sirte. The National Transitional Council’s forces have increased their attacks on Gaddafi’s hometown. A commander of Libya’s National Transitional Council, Colonel Ahmed al-Abidi, said that NTC forces launched all-out attacks on Sirte. According to hospital sources, at least nine people were killed and more than 100 others were wounded. Revolutionary forces intensified their attacks on pro-Gaddafi forces around Concert hall of Sirte where Gaddafi used to invite the world leaders. According to NTC sources, all people trapped inside Sirte Concert Hall are wanted criminals who seem unlikely to surrender themselves. Sirte is located 40 kilometers from the Libyan capital of Tripoli and it is regarded an important stronghold for pro-Gaddafi forces.
