The Philippine government announced on Monday that a total of 90 Filipinos from Syria will arrive in Manila on Tuesday and Wednesday as violence in the Middle Eastern country continues to escalate.The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said the 90 Filipinos availed of the government's Mandatory Repatriation Program.The DFA said the first batch of 60 repatriates will arrive in the country aboard Qatar Airways Flight QR 644 on Tuesday. The remaining 30 repatriates will arrive on April 17 via Gulf Air Flight GF 156.Their arrival will bring the total number of Filipinos evacuated from Syria to 3,882.The DFA also said 69 more Filipinos are also set to leave Syria and are just awaiting to book airline seats.As the security situation in Syria deteriorates the Philippine government urged all Filipinos who are still in the Middle Eastern country to seek immediate repatriation.
