
Iraqi Prime Minister Haydar al Abadi received a phone call from US President Donald Trump during which they had talks on means of promoting bilateral cooperation in various domains, especially in the fight against the terrorist group of Daesh.
Abadi underlined the importance of bolstering bilateral cooperation in the military domain to eradicate Daesh.
Abadi said Iraqi forces realized successive victories over Daesh, adding that Daesh's defeat is imminent.
Abadi has described his visit to Washington on March 20 as successful. The visit aimed at activating the strategic framework agreement that was inked between the two sides in 2008.
