Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said, "If the Palestinian national reconciliation is provided we can visit Gaza with Erdogan." Abbas, who came together with Egyptian journalists in Cairo, said, "I talked with Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan. If the Palestinian national reconciliation is provided we can visit Gaza with Erdogan." Abbas underlined that he does not accept visits to Gaza with the aim of "solidarity" while still a separation existed between Hamas and Fatah and added, "the current visits do not support the Palestinian issue." "The economic situation in Palestine is difficult. But it is not possible that the economic solution comes before the political situation," Abbas noted and went on, "The US had to pressure Israel to start the peace talks and Israel had to stop the building of settlements in Jerusalem and the West Bank. If these demands are fulfilled we can start peace talks." Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met during his three-day Egypt visit President Mohammed Morsi and talked about the Palestinian national reconciliation.
