Abbas meets Arab League secretary general

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas discussed during a meeting he held in Cairo today with Arab League Secretary General Dr. Nabil Al-Arab the latest developments of the Palestinian problem. An informed Palestinian source said Abbas briefed Al-Arabi on the details of points of agreement during the comprehensive national dialogue sessions and the outcome of the PLO Committee''s first meeting heldunder his chairmanship today. The talks also covered the ongoing contacts regarding the peace process and efforts to enable Palestine obtain full membership of the United Nations and its various institutions.
