Tourism Minister Fadi Abboud voiced on Thursday full support to the national campaign to be held on food safety in Lebanon. Abboud's words came before a visiting delegation from the Restaurants' Owners Syndicate headed by Mr. Paul Arris who came seeking Abboud's approval to patronize their national campaign on food safety in different Lebanese regions.The Trade, Economy and Health Ministries are also expected to take part in the aforementioned campaign. "We are working on modifying general conditions set for the establishment of tourism institutions," Abboud pledged, hoping that all tourism- related procedures would then undergo transparent measures. Moreover, Abboud underscored the importance of getting employees trained, so as to preserve the investors' best interest, not to mention save their reputation and that of the tourism industry as a whole. 1000 employees working within the ourism sector will get one-year training on means of ensuring food safety, under the supervision of concerned institutions
