
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with Marise Payne, the Australian Defence Minister, today in Canberra .
During the meeting, they reviewed existing cooperation and friendship relations between the two countries, especially with regard to defence and military affairs and ways of strengthening and developing them.
They also discussed the overall developments in the regional and international arenas and exchanged views on a number of issues of common concern, including cooperation in the fight against extremism and terrorism.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Obaid Al Hairi Salem Al Ketbi, UAE Ambassador to Australia, and Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Director of the Department of East Asia and Pacific at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
