
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, today received visiting French Minister of Defence, Jean-Yves Le Drian, at the Shatea Palace.
After H.H. Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the French minister and his delegation, the pair discussed ways of promoting cooperation and friendly relations between the UAE and France.
During the meeting, areas of military and defence coordination between the two countries were examined to serve their common interests.
The pair exchanged views about issues of common concern, including the current developments in the region and efforts being made by the two countries to achieve regional peace and stability.
Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority (EAA); Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince; Michel Miraillet, the Ambassador of France, and a number of officials attended the meeting.
