Abu Dhabi Municipality today handed over around 60 percent of a batch of communal houses, recently ordered by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for nationals.
Last week, H.H. Sheikh Mohamed ordered the handing over of 1463 houses and 2432 land plots to citizens in the emirate of Abu Dhabi in line with directives from President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
In a statement to WAM, Musabbah Mubarak Al Marar, General Manager of Abu Dhabi City Municipality, who oversaw the handing over, thanked the UAE leaders for promoting welfare of citizens to ensure dignified life for all.
The houses are in residential compounds with full community services and high-quality infrastructure to ensure the highest standards of safety and comfort for residents.
Al Marar commended the country's leadership for promoting happiness and supporting cohesion of families. He noted that the approach was established by the UAE founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
He said happiness of the UAE citizens will always be a top priority for the wise leaders and government of the UAE.
For each new house, handing over the deed to the recipient took only ten minutes today, Al Marar noted
