Advisory Council holds weekly session

The Advisory Council held on Monday its ordinary weekly regular session under its Speaker HE Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khulaifi. At the outset of the meeting, the Advisory Council Secretary-General Fahd bin Mubarak Al-Khayareen read out the agenda, which was then agreed upon. The Council, then, approved the minutes of its previous session. At this meeting the council re-discussed the issue of unification of the holidays of schools and the University of Qatar. Confirming its recommendation that have already been forwarded to the esteemed government in this regard, the Council decided to send a note to the Cabinet’s General Secretariat to inquire about the recommendation.. The Council also discussed a request for a general discussion on street congestion in the city of Doha, and decided to forward it to a joint committee composed of the Public Services and Utilities and Domestic and Foreign Affairs committees to study the issue and submit a report thereon.
