
A delegation of the African Union's Peace and Security Council (PSC), currently visiting Khartoum, voiced support to the Sudanese government's efforts to stabilize peace in the western Sudanese Darfur region.
At a meeting with Darfur peace bureau chief Ameen Hassan Omar, the delegation was posted on the positive developments in Darfur and Sudan's efforts to achieve political settlement of the Darfur issue.
According to bureau member Ambassador Osman Darar, the visiting delegation said they aimed for a field inspection of the region to know more about developments on the humanitarian and security levels.
