H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, today underlined the importance of census and resulting statistics for sustainable development.
He called for conducting a comprehensive census across the UAE to provide a sound foundation for government decisions.
Sheikh Humaid was speaking during a meeting, at his Court, with Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation and head of Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority.
He directed all local government authorities in Ajman to fully co-operate with the federal authority's team to achieve common goals.
The ruler also called for more joint initiatives and programmes to back the UAE Vision 2021 and the development goals.
Minister Al Hashemi said the success of the federal authority hinges on co-operation between all federal and local bodies and continued communication between the private and public sectors so as to transform the UAE into one of the world's top countries in terms of competitiveness.
