Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad met with his Sudanese peer Omar al-Bashir, currently on a visit to Tehran to participate in the 16th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit, which concludes Friday. They discussed bilateral relations, topics on the summit’s agenda, in addition to issues of mutual concern. Al-Bashir said the meeting comes within the frame of strong relations between the two countries, noting that the session tackled the “rooted and excellent” bilateral relations. During the meeting, the two leaders also discussed Iran’s NAM presidency over the next three years, al-Bashir said, stressing his confidence that Iran will work on developing and activating organization and support NAM issues.
