
Bahraini Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ghanem Al-Buainain stressed here on Sunday that the GCC states should have a big role to play in the ongoing developments witnessed by the region, which requires coordination of efforts among them. The minister said during the opening of the Kuwaiti-Bahraini Media Forum today that the media has a big role to play in dealing with the current events in the region and support the efforts of the GCC countries, especially as the media has a great impact on political and economic events in general. He said the forum was an opportunity to meet with the media elites from Bahrain and Kuwait to address the overall and the latest developments of interest to the GCC and the region. For his part, Secretary General of the Forum Mansour Al-Ajmi said in his speech that the forum is a great opportunity to meet a number of prominent media figures to brainstorm and debate on regional and global issues that concern and affect the GCC region.
