
The Chairman of the Joint Supervisory Committee for abyei Administration , Sudan's side, Al Khair Al Faheim has discussed with the American Envoy to Sudan Donal Booth, who arrived the country Saturday the aspects related to Abyei issue following the successful visit of the President of South Sudan Salva Kirr Mayardet to Khartoum on the advent of current month. In press statements fllowing his meeting with the US envoy Al Faheim said that he discussed in a long meeting the aspects related to Abyei and the proposals presented by the African Mediation in this regard in order to reach a final solution for the issue. Al Faheim reiterated the government rejection to any step concerning the area outside the provisions of the agreement signed between the two countries, indicating the necessity for the establishment of the agreed upon civil institutions such as the legislative council, and the administration, and the police befor starting talks on other issues. The American envoy on his part said that he came for the identification and evaluation of the Mayseria tribe situation and their point of view and the position of the government on the Abyei issue. The American envoy has described the Abyei issue as thorny pointing out that he would basically concentrate on the outstanding issues between the two states and the Sudan's USA relationships. TA
