Head of the Iraqi National alliance Ibrahim al-Jafari and US Ambassador to Iraq Robert Stephen Beecroft have reviewed ways of strengthening relations between Iraq and the United States as well as the latest developments in Iraq and across the region and the world. Al-Jafari said in a statement that Iraqi national forces insisted to boost the process of the democratic experiment in Iraq, pointing out that the security and stability in Iraq depends on efforts of the joint intelligence and security forces between regional and international countries because terrorism is targeting countries across the world without exception. He stressed importance of holding the upcoming parliamentary elections in its scheduled date because the electoral seasons represent a real response to the terrorist attacks that attempt to stop the wheel of progress of the democratic experiment in Iraq. For his part, Stephen Beecroft said the US supports the democratic process and wishes all political parties to intensify their efforts to face the challenges experienced by the political process in Iraq.
