
Fayez Al-Jassem presented his credentials as non-resident ambassador plenipotentiary to Ghana at the Foreign Ministry headquarters here on Monday. His appiontment was accepted in a ceremony attended by the Foreign Minister of Ghana Hanna Tetteh at the capital, Accra. Al-Jassem reported the greetings of HH the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to Ghana's foreign minister. Bilateral relations between the two "friendly countries are solid," he said, adding he would be working during his time in office to enhance these ties across the political, economic and cultural spectrums. Furthermore, the Ghanese minister welcomed the appointment and thanked Kuwait for the "huge efforts it undertakes represented by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and charitable organisations currently operating in Ghana.
