Eid Al Fitr celebrations at Al Qasba, Sharjah's premier tourist, cultural, and family destination, are in full swing with a range of fun and excitement aimed at the whole family. The first day of Eid saw not only a spectacular fireworks display but also the first of four daily appearances of the world's favourite purple dinosaur - Barney. The friendly dinosaur, with help from his buddies Baby Bop and BJ, is entertaining little ones and their families with a musical stage show at Al Qasba's state-of-the-art 250-seat Masrah Al Qasba Theatre. Taking place daily at 6:00 pm, 7:30 pm, 9:00 pm and 10:00 pm, the show is a wonderful interactive sing-along experience featuring all of Barney's most famous and loved songs for everyone to enjoy. In addition to seeing the show, children also have the chance to meet Barney and his friends in a number of specially organised meet and greet sessions and take part in other fun activities, such as face painting and a special photo booth. Al Qasba Manager Sultan Mohamed Shattaf commented, "Eid Al Fitr is a special time of celebration, a time to appreciate the joy and happiness in our lives with family and friends and we are really happy to be able to present a show featuring a character like Barney who has brought joy to so many young lives. Watching the children take part in the show and sing and play along is a wonderful experience that we hope many will still come to share in." Spread over 10,000 hectares, Al Qasba boasts a range of state-of-the-art facilities and tourist attractions including, among others, various restaurants and cafes, the 250-seat Masrah Al Qasba-Theatre, Multaqa Al Qasba-Conference and Meeting Halls, Al Qasba Business Centre, Kids Fun Zone, Al Qasba Musical Fountain, Etisalat Eye of the Emirates Wheel, and the Maraya Art Centre.
