
HE Al-Sada went on to say that the emergence of the knowledge-based economy as one of the most important factors in the success of countries in the twenty-century has produced a new global infrastructure of which the information technology has formed its core base, the matter which has increased the contribution of entrepreneurship in the economies of the countries, and created more jobs in various sectors. HE the Minister of Energy and Industry has highly evaluated the essential role played by education and training institutions in the development of talent and mental entrepreneurial, in the upbringing of a new generation of young entrepreneurs and future leaders in the business world, and to provide the environment to foster a culture of entrepreneurship that will enhance sustainable entrepreneurship mechanism. Qatar Petroleum (QP) is the “Official Energy Partner” of the Entrepreneurship in Economic Development Forum, which opened today at Qatar University. The two-day forum is being held under the patronage of HE Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman of QP. Organized by Interactive Business Network in partnership with Qatar University, the Entrepreneurship in Economic Development Forum is being held with the theme “Fostering the New Generation of Entrepreneurs in Qatar and the Gulf.” The forum features a distinguished lineup of speakers who will discuss a wide range of topics, including the role of educational institutions in promoting entrepreneurship, the laws of success for entrepreneurs, and the programs for financing young entrepreneurs. In addition to its sponsorship of the forum, QP has an exhibition booth on the sidelines of the event to showcase the corporation’s extensive operations in the oil and gas industry. The booth also highlights the QP Vision, which is “to be a world-class oil & gas corporation, with its roots in Qatar, and a strong international presence.”
