The Criminal Court postponed hearing the case of Dr Obeid Al-Wasmi until Nov 14 session at his defense's request. The Criminal Court handed Al-Wasmi six charges that include four pertaining to state security. Al-Wasmi denied all charges relating to state security law, which includes spreading false news, urging policemen to violate the law, insulting the ruling establishment and public gathering. Al-Wasmi's defense also submitted a letter from the Amiri Diwan, that was sent to the Justice Minister to drop the case. Meanwhile, former Iraqi Transport Minister Amer Abdeljabbar has stated that Kuwaiti authorities reclaimed around 1,800 meters from the sea near Khor Abdullah, in southern Iraq, but the Iraqi government has since denied that. Abdeljabbar said the action was taken in service of building Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port piers. He said the action limited the navigation waters available for ships approaching Iraq to 250 meters only. Abduljabbar said that Kuwait alters the geography by means of closing important commercial ports, namely Um Qasr, Khoar Abdullah and Khoar Al-Zubair. Abduljabbar did not mention his sources but criticized Iraqi officials' stance on the port, charging that Kuwait bribed individuals. Iraqi government advisor Abdelhussien Al-Jabiri said, meanwhile, that his government is aware of the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port details and that Kuwait did not reclaim 1,800 meters from the joint Khoar Abdullah waters. Source have said that banks are due to refer accounts evidencing suspicious activity that belong to MPs who participated in the recent Irada Square sit-in during which anti-corruption efforts were demanded. Informed sources said the number of those MPs is two to four and may increase when other accounts are discussed.
