Al-Zoubi: Syrian leadership laid down clear vision for solving crisis

Information Minister, Omran al-Zoubi said that the Syrian leadership has laid down a clear vision for solving the crisis that rejects all forms of foreign political and military interference. During his meeting on Thursday with Secretary-General of the Mauritanian Socialist Democratic Unionist Party Mahfouz Weld Aziz, al-Zoubi said that the Syrian leadership ''is not worried about the situation on the ground or about the media and political escalation'' as it is convinced that sublime goals need sublime sacrifices. He considered that the current challenges and difficulties are different from previous ones as the current are ''the most difficult due to internal, Arab and regional elements that have revealed themselves after they were covert.'' ''We have never trusted the Arab official system for it is a complicit and fragile system,'' al-Zoubi said considering the Arab League and its affiliate organizations ''illusory institutions that serve the needs of the West.'' Al-Zoubi saw that the media propaganda has mislead the Arab peoples at the beginning but has started to retreat as the real image of the crisis is becoming clear, describing it as a positive shift. He added that al-Baath Arab Socialist Party and the other Nasserist movements have stood up to the conspiracies and Western schemes, indicating that the political project in Syria is based on national unity and the Arab unity. For his part, Weld Aziz said that Syria is at the forefront of confronting the Western and Zionist aggression and in defense of the Arab causes and principles. He considered the Gulf states that are supporting the aggression on Syria an example of the ''democracy of Western dictates, corruption and dependency which they want to prevail in the Arab world,'' pointing out that the Gulf regimes have ''usurped lands and are now usurping the terms of democracy and freedom.'' He warned of evoking religious fatwas to promote the agenda of aggression against Syria, affirming that the seditious scheme in Syria will spill over into all countries that cannot stand up to it. Weld Aziz hailed the sacrifices of the Syrian Arab army in defense of Syria and the great efforts of the national media for conveying the true image with sincerity and objectivity.
