All miners were evacuated from a dangerous section of the emergency coalmine Alardinskaya, where a fire broke out in the Kemerovo Region on Thursday, no casualties were reported, the information department of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations told Itar-Tass. “A total of 510 miners were staying in the coalmine, 444 of them were evacuated to the surface, 66 coalminers remain underground, but they are staying at the safe places. The smoking screen is still veiling the coalmine,” the information department reported. The conveyer belt in the sixth shaft caught fire in the coalmine on Thursday morning. About 100 emergency workers are working at the incident site.
