The Alzentan Libyan tribes on Friday paid tribute to the Qatari leadership for its historic stand in support of the Libyan revolution. Vice Chairman of the visiting Libyan delegation expressed deep gratitude and appreciation to HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and the Qatari people for their assistance for the Libyan people during his struggle for freedom. Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Dr. Mohamed Abdul Kader Betrou highly appreciated Qatar''s "unconditional" support for the Libyan revolution, calling for further progress in bilateral ties between the two countries. During the visit, the Libyan delegation discussed with a number of Qatari officials means of enhancing ties of mutual cooperation between the State of Qatar and Libya''s ruling National Transitional Council (NTC), said Dr. Betrou. On the latest developments in Libya, the Libyan official said rebels take control of last pockets of forces loyal to deposed Muammar Gaddafi. Confrontation between Libyan rebels and pro-Gaddafi forces have been raging near last major bastions towns of Sirte and Bani Walid, he said, expressing hope to liberate the entire Libyan territory within the next few days. HH the Deputy Emir And Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Thursday received the Libyan visiting delegation.
