
The Kuwaiti Ambassador to Mexico Sameeh Jawhar Hayat has visited the Mexican state of Michoacan to explore investment opportunities and mull bolstering bilateral ties. During his visit, Ambassador Hayat and a number of the Kuwait Embassy staff held talks with Governor of Michoacan Jesus Reyna Garcia and several senior provincial ministers. In a press statement, a copy of which was sent to KUNA office here Saturday, the Ambassador stated that Michoacan is one of the most investment-attractive states in Mexico. "I am looking forward to preparing for a twinship agreement between Michoacan and one of the Kuwaiti governorates," he said. Hayat invited Governor Garcia to visit Kuwait to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation and considering partnership between public and private sectors of both sides. For his part, Garcia welcomed Ambassador Hayat and other Kuwaiti diplomats. Michoacan Governor applauded the strong bonds linking both nations, hoping they see a tangible progress in the coming period. The Michoacan Chamber of Commerce also held a reception ceremony for Ambassador Hayat. The ceremony was attended by the Michoacan premier and several cabinet ministers.
