Ann Romney pronounced her love of Cuban food Saturday during a surprise visit to a Florida restaurant. Romney chatted up patrons at Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine while stumping for her husband, Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, in a key battleground state. "I eat a lot of vegetables, but I love Cuban food," said Romney, who earlier in the day had appeared at an American Cancer Society 5K walk in Orlando that drew nearly 40,000 women. Women are an important demographic in the race. Mitt Romney trails President Obama among women in recent polls, but Florida's Cuban community historically is solidly Republican. The South Florida Sun Sentinel said Romney was applauded when she entered Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine, chatted with several customers and then gave a public thanks to her husband's campaign team and volunteers. "I know you're not doing this because my husband is the best in the world," she said. "I know you're doing it because you love this country."
