Arab FMs reject Swedish FM's anti-Saudi Arabia comments

Arab Foreign Ministers Monday condemned Swedish foreign minister Margot Wallstrom's statement before the Swedish parliament, which the top diplomats considered as offending Saudi Arabia.
The foreign ministers, in a statement at the end of their one-day meeting, totally rejected the statement, apparently referring to Wallstrom's comments on a judicial sentence against Raef Badawi, a Saudi citizen who was sentenced to 10 years and 1,000 lashes for insulting Islam and offending a religious authority.
The foreign ministers said they were astonished about the statement, which contradicted with a "fact that the constitution of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is based on the tolerant Islamic Sharia that guarantees rights of the human being, protects human's life, money and dignity." Wallstrom's statement "is irresponsible and unacceptable," asserted the ministers.
