The Arab League (AL) Secretary General Nabil el Araby held discussions with the United Nations (UN) envoy to Syria Steffan De Mistura on the latest conditions in the Arab country.
The meeting took up the outcome of the consultations held by De Mistura recently with the regional and international parties concerned with the Syrian crisis.
The meeting, which was attended by De Mistura's Deputy Ramzy Ezzeldin Ramzy, tackled the latest developments pertaining to the Syrian negotiations taking place in Geneva between the delegations of the government and the opposition, according to a statement issued by the AL.
They stressed the need to resume efforts exerted to guarantee the access of humanitarian aid to all the besieged areas and halting the military operations to render Geneva negotiations successful.
