The Arab League has called for continuing efforts aimed at combating the travel of foreigners to join terrorist groups, urging legal and judicial measures among Arab countries to combat funding resources by all means.
The remarks were made at a three-day workshop held on Monday at the Arab League premises under the title of "Necessary regulations and measures to combat travel of foreigner terrorists to join terrorist groups".
A statement released by the Legal Affairs Department of the Arab League said the movement of such terrorists do not only escalate existing conflicts, but they return to their countries with new skills and connections which heighten the threats of terrorist attacks at the national level.
Representatives of the ministries of justice, interior, customs and finance in the Arab countries as well as Arab and international organizations concerned with drugs, crime and the International Committee of the Red Cross along with the Gulf Cooperation Council, the African Union and the Arab Interior Ministers Council attended the workshop.
