
Speaker of the Arab Parliament Ahmad Bin Mohammad Al-Jarwan condemned on Tuesday the assassination attempt on Iraqi Parliament Speaker Osama Al-Nujaifi in Nineveh Governorate.The Arab Parliament condemns such acts of terrorism, said Al-Jarwan in a statement, calling on Iraqis to unite against violence in order to restore stability in their country.Al-Jarwan also noted that the parliament is anxiously monitoring the situation in Iraq, hoping that the country would see peace in the near future.Al-Nujaifi had escaped on Monday an assassination attempt when a roadside bomb exploded South of Northern Mosul Province. He was accompanied at the time of the attack by Nineveh Governor Assel Al-Nujaifi. Both officials have not been harmed in the explosion, while two of the accompanying guards have been wounded.
